Mezza Coda: Vintage Meets Modern – A Baby Grand Piano Like No Other 🎹✨
Step into a world where timeless elegance meets nostalgic warmth with Mezza Coda, the ultimate baby grand piano sample library. This one-of-a-kind sound collection brings the rich, organic beauty of a grand piano, infused with the raw, gritty essence of cassette tape and unique distortion effects. Whether you're composing cinematic scores, crafting jazz melodies, or experimenting with modern pop and electronica, Mezza Coda adds a captivating layer of authenticity to your music.
🔊 Cassette Layer for Authentic Vibe
Mezza Coda brings you the magic of a cassette layer, recorded on a vintage Portastudio at maximum speed, then slowed down for that signature tape hiss and nostalgic grit. Inspired by our beloved Verticale library, this effect infuses your piano with rich character, making it perfect for creating those raw, atmospheric tones that breathe life into your tracks.
🎚️ Distbox: Raw, Distorted Character
Introducing Distbox – a brand-new signal layer sampled with the Portastudio, adding a touch of lo-fi distortion that transforms your piano sound. By pushing the preamps with a hot signal and slowing the tape, Distbox delivers an edgy, gritty texture. Whether you're creating experimental beats or chasing that lo-fi aesthetic, Distbox gives you the sonic edge you need.
🎶 A Beautiful Baby Grand
With Mezza Coda, you’ll enjoy the stunning warmth, clarity, and depth of a baby grand piano—plus a touch of grit that elevates your sound to new heights. Perfect for cinematic soundtracks, electronic beats, and everything in between, this piano adapts to any style. It’s the ideal choice for musicians seeking an organic touch that’s both authentic and versatile.
🎤 Flexible Microphone Options
Take full control of your sound with three distinct mic positions, each captured in stereo pairs. Choose ribbon mics for that vintage warmth or large diaphragm condensers for a richer, more detailed tone. Easily mix these mic options in your DAW and find the perfect balance for your music.
🔧 Advanced FX for Maximum Creativity
Mezza Coda offers two FX sends—Reverb and Delay—with multiple modes for endless creative possibilities. Use the Color knob as a tilt EQ to add warmth or brightness, and sync the effects to your track’s tempo with the Sync Toggle. For a more experimental feel, engage Lo-Fi for bit reduction or Crunch for deep tape saturation, and even select mono for the ultimate retro vibe. ✨
