🎻 Cinesamples World Series: Viola da Gamba 🎶
Unlock the timeless soul of the Renaissance with Viola da Gamba — a rich, expressive bowed string instrument meticulously sampled at the legendary MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios, Los Angeles 🌟. Perfect for film, TV, game, and media scoring, this iconic 6-string fretted instrument offers a warm, resonant tone that blends beautifully in modern compositions and historical soundscapes alike.
📜 Historical Elegance, Modern Power
Dating back to 15th-century Spain, the Viola da Gamba was a cornerstone of Renaissance and Baroque music. Tuned to D1, G1, C2, E2, A2, D3 and featuring movable tied-on frets, this authentic recreation allows real-time control over tempering and tonality — just like the original viols used centuries ago.
